The Hot Desk Area: Designed for Focus, Built for Flexibility
As part of the Corsica project, every space was designed to support a different way of working. While the conference room creates structure and the lounge introduces comfort, the hot desk area was built for something else entirely, focus, flexibility, and everyday productivity.
This is where work happens.
A Shared Space That Still Feels Personal
Hot desking can often feel temporary or impersonal, but our goal was to elevate that experience.
We designed a long, custom desk that allows multiple people to sit and work comfortably, without feeling crowded or disconnected. The layout creates a sense of rhythm. Each seat feels intentional, giving users their own defined space while still being part of a larger environment.
It’s communal, but never chaotic.
Bringing Energy Through Design
One of the standout elements in this space is the striped wallpaper.
Rather than keeping the area overly minimal, we leaned into something more expressive. The vertical stripes add movement and height, drawing the eye upward and giving the space a strong visual identity.
At the same time, the warm tones keep it grounded and inviting without being distracting.
This balance was key. The space feels energizing, but still appropriate for focused work.
Layered Functionality
Above the desk, we introduced a series of sculptural sconces that do more than just provide light.
They create a sense of structure along the wall, visually breaking up the length of the desk while adding a refined, almost architectural layer to the design. The warm brass detailing paired with the soft white shades ties seamlessly into the overall palette.
A continuous wood shelf runs beneath the lighting, adding both function and styling opportunity. Perfect for books, small objects, or subtle branding moments.
Every layer serves a purpose.
BEFORE
Material That Works as Hard as the Space
The seating selection was just as intentional.
We sourced caramel-toned leather chairs that bring warmth, durability, and comfort into the space. The tone plays off the wallpaper beautifully, creating a cohesive color story that feels rich but not overpowering.
Beyond aesthetics, these chairs are built for real use. Supportive enough for extended work sessions while still maintaining a clean, elevated look.
Designed for Real Use
This isn’t just a design moment, it’s a working environment.
The hot desk area was created to support a range of users throughout the day:
Individuals needing a focused place to work
Remote professionals dropping in for a few hours
Team members looking for a change of environment
By keeping the layout simple and the design intentional, the space adapts easily without losing its identity.
A Key Piece of the Whole
Within the larger Corsica co-working transformation, the hot desk area plays a critical role.
It bridges the gap between structure and flexibility offering a place that’s easy to use, visually engaging, and designed for consistency.
It proves that even the most functional spaces can still feel considered.
At Del Vento & Co., that’s always the goal. Design that works, and works beautifully.
