My unique approach to holiday decor can make spaces twinkle with festive joy. When decorating for the holidays, I say you can never have too much shine.

Balance Holiday Hues
If it’s ever an option to add a pop of color - I’m doing it. However, I like to use minimal color when decorating for the holidays. Last year, I opted for an all-white christmas tree and accessorized my house with accents of metallics and glitter. I even had all white (linen or knit) stockings - of course hanging below my shimmery garland on my mantle. It’s important to keep some things minimal and more muted so that the accents you add really shine.
Coffee Table Cheer
Keeping with the minimalism theme - Let’s talk about your coffee table. Your coffee table is the centerpiece of your living room. I am constantly refreshing mine with new books, candles, and fun vases I find. It doesn’t take much to add some holiday cheer - just a simple gold accent will do. My favorite way to spruce up your coffee table is to switch up the tray you are using. If you have a wooden one, replace it with a fun gold circular-shaped one. Next, use a muted color vase and put some balsam fir needles in it. Add a holiday nutcracker, and finish it off with your favorite holiday-scented candle, and - viola!
A New Take on Holiday Villages
When you think of a miniature village, I’m sure you are reminded of a specific table at your grandmother’s house that was cluttered with holiday-themed figurines. Just like all trends, Holiday villages are making a comeback. Setting up a holiday-themed village is a great tradition that your children will love! West Elm has a beautiful selection of sophisticated, modern, and neutral miniature figurines. I opted for the white and cream tones so that I am able to add my sparkly accents all around.
